As part of the official activities and events organised during the European Week for Persons with Disability in Malta, the Malta Federation of Organisations Persons with Disability, together with other national disability institutions and the relat
ed Parliamentary Secretariats, teamed up in order to organise daily events and initiatives throughout the week. MFOPD was thus responsible for a well-attended forum on the 7th of December, held at Parliament House, in which representatives of disability organisations under MFOPD met with the Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Local Councils, the Hon. Silvio Parnis, in order to discuss how community living throughout the islands can be further enhanced in favour of persons with disability. Also present was the Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Persons with Disability, the Hon. Tony Agius Decelis and the Commissioner for the Rights of Persons with Disability, Mr. Oliver Scicluna.
